About Kornel Industries‘ history
Our company dates back to the 1867 when Lord Korneluis Bingus of Csopak established the Kornel Industries which was the first industry in the region that produced many different goods. At the beginning the company produced weaponary and bread for the army. During the first world war with the partition of Hungary the company lost its access to the coal imported from today’s Czechia. Later on at the time of the Béla Kun’s administration the company was robbed from its factories. The Horthy government the company could get back its bakery however the weapon industry was kept in national interest.
Kornel Industries after the war
In 1945 the company could make an agreement with the invading soviet forces. General Rodion Maslinovsky personally guaranteed the esteemed bakery’s safety from the looting. During the Rákosi and Kádár era the company was able to expand with caution. The company was left alone from harrassment however their production license was revoked on certain pastries including bread and criossant. The contemporary CEO of the company Kornolovsky of Csopak had to come up with ways to innovate the company to get the production going.
Kornel Industries in the close past
That time he was able to visit an International Bar Association conference where he learned about the wanders of gingerbread. From that point on Kornel Industries started to work with an Transylvanian Medical specialist Kerof Von Zwölf who had great interest in creating gingerbread. The two of them revolutionized gingerbread houses and set a bar for the future. Today the current CEO Kornel of Csopak is working hard to keep the traditions and to give the same experience his predecessors provided.
